How it is built
- No scripts, no add-ons and no subscriptions.
- Every default shows its source and the date we checked it.
- Tested by recalculating the whole workbook with sample data. No formula errors found. See updates and review status.
Add state detail
Probate steps differ by state. Optional add-ons for New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland are available separately. More states will follow only when each can be checked.
Questions
Does it work in Excel as well as Google Sheets?
Yes. It is built with standard formulas only (no scripts), so it opens in Excel and in Google Sheets. Google Sheets import and sheet-protection behaviour should be checked on your own account the first time; the Start Here tab explains how.
Does it tell me my legal deadlines?
No. Time limits depend on your state and the facts, so none are pre-filled. You enter any date you have confirmed with the court or a solicitor, and the workbook tracks it.
Where is my estate information stored?
In your own file, in your own Google or Microsoft account or on your computer. We never receive it.
Is it suitable for a complicated estate?
It is a record-keeping tool for ordinary estates. A business, a trust, overseas assets, a contested will or a tax question needs a solicitor or accountant, and the workbook helps you give them tidy information.
